AN illegal telecomunication tower located at the main road in Section 2 Wangsa Maju was brought down by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) yesterday.
The tower, which looks very much like a clock tower, was a cause of concern among residents as they were worried about its effects on health.

Resident Josephine Benedict, 66, said: “When I saw people putting it up, I thought that it was a Maxis Tower or something. When I found out it was a telecomunication tower, I became worried. I have heard that it is dangerous to live near these towers,” she said.
Maxis is not telco?
